Training

Practical training tailored to best meet your crews’ needs

DP Induction / Basic

Duration: 5 Days / 28 hours

The course is theory-based with guided practical exercises that introduce the trainee to various DP operational modes.

DP Simulator / Advanced

Duration: 5 Days / 28 hours

The course principally involves simulated DP operations including errors, faults and failures.

Revalidation Without Sea-time

Duration: 5 Days / 28 hours

The course is intended for those who have already been issued a DPO Certificate from the NI but are unable to revalidate their DPO Certificate if they have not gained enough DP sea time.

(STR) Sea Time Reduction

Duration: 5 Days / 37.5 hours

The course is theory-based with guided practical exercises that introduce the trainee to various DP operational modes.

DP Emergency Shiphandling Course

Duration: 4 Days / 28 hours

The course has been designed for participants / DPOs who engage in manual ship handling activities in vessels operating in Dynamic Positioning mode.

Dynamic Positioning Vessel Maintainers (DPVM) course

Duration: 4 Days / 28 hours

The DP Vessel Maintainer (DPVM) Scheme was launched in March 2021, and is designed for engineers, ETOs and other non-deck department, technical personnel serving on board DP-equipped vessels. (5 days)

DP Refresher and Competency Assessment Course

Duration: 5 Days / 34 hours

The course is intended for those who have already been issued a DPO Certificate from the NI and required to refresh their knowledge about DP or need to complete DP simulator training.
