HIGH VOLTAGE SAFETY TRAINING
We offer onboard high voltage safety training courses that measurably improves safety and effectiveness. Our high voltage courses will enhance a candidate’s core competencies in the areas of marine safety regulations and protocols.
High Voltage Technology & Safety
Our High Voltage Safety Training can be customized for your facility, vessel, port or shipyard. Our High Voltage Technology & Safety Course is DNV-GL certified for IMO Model Course 7.08 Electro-Technical Officer, Competence 1.4 (Table A-III/6). Our High Voltage Training Units are designed and built in a twenty-foot container for an easy transport to a designated location. It contains a 3,300-volt transformer supplying voltage to the switchgear. The container ships are completed with accessory gear, including: Arc Flash Suits and protection, fixed and portable high voltage meters and testers, and insulation testing equipment. This containerized system can be transported to vessels, ports, shipyards, universities, and industrial facilities for the hands-on portion of the High Voltage Safety Training.

Course Delivery:
This High Voltage safety training course will be delivered in two venues; one component of the high voltage course will be delivered in a classroom-like setting ensuring there is sufficient seating for all attendees. The second component of the training (hands-on) will be delivered at the High Voltage Training Unit. The HV Unit contains HV Switchgear sections containing HV Vacuum Breakers and controls, High Voltage Transformer and cabling. The hands-on portion of the high voltage course will comprise over 30% of the course duration. This training encompasses proper high voltage PPE selection and usage and use of high voltage testers and meters.
Multi-Purpose Training Unit
Now under construction is our Multi-Purpose Training Unit. This unit consist of two forty-foot high-cube shipping containers that can be joined together on location to make one large training unit. The training unit incorporates the area into low voltage control center, centrifugal pumps and oily water separator room with tanks. The unit also includes areas for Confined Space Entry and Rescue Training as well as Working at Heights Training.
