Our DP Training in Singapore, such as the Dynamic Positioning simulator training course, is just one of our maritime safety and performance improvement services. Our Nautical Institute Accredited Class A and Class C simulators ensure students get the hands-on experience they need. In addition to the International Maritime Services DP Training Centre in Singapore, we have a mobile simulator option for clients with long term DP training needs. Our DP trainers are experienced captains and engineers from various types of DP vessels, with different classes of DP systems and manufacturers. They understand DP operations and the risks associated with its use.

A DPO Certificate, or Dynamic Positioning Operator Certificate, is a recognized qualification in the maritime industry that certifies an individual’s competence in operating vessels equipped with dynamic positioning systems. Dynamic Positioning is a sophisticated technology used to accurately maintain a vessel’s position and heading, even in challenging conditions such as strong currents, winds, and waves.

This DPO certificate is issued after a demonstration of the training undergone by the trainees is provided to him. This DPO certification, along with the remarks provided by the chief of DP operations, is forwarded to the Nautical Institute. This institute is the recognised authority for issuing the dynamic position operator’s validation certificate.
